Waiting on Wednesday (2)

Below, you will find the synopsis of the book I'm anxiously awaiting for!
Touch of forst by Jennifer Estep
My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy — a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody’s head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest.

But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I’m determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why – especially since I should have been the one who died...

Inspired outfit: Ani from Radiant Shadows

This outfit was inspired by Ani from Radiant Shadows (by author Melissa Marr).  Leslie is fierce and she knows what she wants. And what could better fit a badass girl than leather, combat boots & black?
Hello, beautiful followers. I just wanted to let you know that I now have much more time on my hands and will start reviewing books and blogging again. I'm looking forward to catching up with you!

I just recently got a tattoo on the side of my wrist that says ''imagine''. I'm pretty sure you can guess why. I love it, and it is relevant to this blog, so I thought I would share it with you guys.

Review: Crescendo - Becca Fitzpatrick.

Date published: 10/19/10
Publisher: Simon & Schuster.
Pages: 427.
Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2)

Synopsis.
Feisty teen Nora Grey somehow survived the crises of Hush, Hush!, but dangers just as frightening loom in this standalone sequel. Patch, her guardian angel and love interest, appears to have a dark side and a wandering eye. Worse yet, he seems intent on obstructing Nora as she hunts for the truth behind her father's mysterious death. Even better than the first.

My Review.

I'm going to jump right in. I literally tore trough it, I couldn't put it down. I started reading it this morning at eight and finished it a few minutes ago, it's 12now. I loved the fact that it was very fast paced, because I tend to get bored easily. I thought it was well written and again, I love the font that was chosen for the book. The storyline keeps changing and evolving, new elements are introduced  all the time, bits and pieces of informations to put together and it's a lot to process but everything makes sense and Becca did an amazing job at explaining - creating - everything. I was trying to figure everything out just as the same time as Nora was. Just like her, I had no idea of who was bad and who was nice, who was genuinely looking after her and who wasn't.  We see everything from her point of view and it makes it easy to relate to her and I could almost feel what she's feeling. I love that she tried to do what's best regarding Patch (Always so sexy and mysterious), trying not to be totally addicted to him and trying to be strong. Overall, it's an amazing sequel that I would recommend to anyone who likes young adult fiction. Oh and be prepared for the worst cliff hanger of all times. Anxiously awaiting for the third book!

My Rating:
For fans of: Fallen, Dark secrets

Waiting on Wednesday. (1)

Here are two books I'm anxiously awaiting!

Midnight (The Vampire Diaries: The Return, #3)       Angelfire (Angelfire, #1)

Midnight, by LJ Smith        AngelFire, by C.A. Moulton

Midnight's Synopsis.
The vampire love triangle that spawned hundreds of thousands of fans-and inspired a hit television show-concludes in this powerful final volume of The Vampire Diaries. In Midnight, golden girl Elena Gilbert is back from the Dark Dimension, having successfully freed her vampire boyfriend Stefan Salvatore from imprisonment. Saving Stefan had an unlikely consequence: his vampire brother Damon Salvatore has become a mortal. While the trio reels from this latest twist, they must still deal with the demons that have taken over Elena's hometown, Fell's Church. As in every L.J. Smith novel, no matter how dark the night, there is always a happy ending. MIDNIGHT takes Elena, Stefan, and Damon to their darkest moments yet...Danger, romance, and paranormal mystery will keep readers fascinated with this captivating finale to the New York Times bestselling series.

AngelFire's Synopsis.
When seventeen-year-old Ellie starts seeing reapers - monstrous creatures who devour humans and send their souls to Hell - she finds herself on the front lines of a supernatural war between archangels and the Fallen and faced with the possible destruction of her soul.

A mysterious boy named Will reveals she is the reincarnation of an ancient warrior, the only one capable of wielding swords of angelfire to fight the reapers, and he is an immortal sworn to protect her in battle. Now that Ellie's powers have been awakened, a powerful reaper called Bastian has come forward to challenge her. He has employed a fierce assassin to eliminate her - an assassin who has already killed her once.

While balancing her dwindling social life and reaper-hunting duties, she and Will discover Bastian is searching for a dormant creature believed to be a true soul reaper. Bastian plans to use this weapon to ignite the End of Days and to destroy Ellie's soul, ending her rebirth cycle forever. Now, she must face an army of Bastian's most frightening reapers, prevent the soul reaper from consuming her soul, and uncover the secrets of her past lives - including truths that may be too frightening to remember.
